Steve
Brooks
"Brooksie"
You may not remember the name, but for those
posted to the FCU in Phnom Pehn, you'll remember
the fuel key with the 1 gallon tin attached... He He... Blame me..
Stop taking the bloody fuel key...
Had a short stint at Battambang, doing the SDS rider for a few
weeks while someone went on R&R.
The 14 hour bike ride from Phnom Pehn to Battambang was a thrill
, 14 hours to do 350km's, it was
the worst bike ride I have ever done and I am still riding bikes.
Spent the majority of the time in Phnom Pehn and doing runs down
to the beach, they were the best
runs. Left the Army in 1995 and returned home to Broken Hill, far
West NSW.
Did a few odd jobs until 1996 when I started with the Broken Hill
Water Board doing maintenance
and construction on the water network, (I always knew I should
have been an engineer), then went
into waste water treatment after 6 years of construction work.
Did the waste water treatment job for 3
years and then moved into business process development. Nice little
office job which I have been
doing for the last 2 years.
Currently serving as a Director on the Broken Hill YMCA Board,
doing bits of a Uni course in IT,
and a bit of web development.

All I seem to be doing at the moment is work and training.
We need to organise another reunion, the 10 year one was great
to catch up with people I haven't
seen since I left UNTAC.
Anyone want to catch up, email me...

If anyone knows where Brett (Bug Eyes) Balding is, give me a buzz...
