Groves
Steve was the Troop Commander at Sisaphon Sig Troop
in Cambodia. Here is what he has been up too since Cambodia.
I continued to serve in RASigs notably as OC 72 EW Sqn during
INTERFET in East Timor then off to Papua New Guinea as a communications
adviser with the Royal PNG Constabulary. In 2002 I resigned from
the Army after 22 yrs service and took a contract with AusAID to
manage a project to provide communications to remote health facilities
in PNG. I spend a lot of time in remote areas of PNG. I am still
employed in PNG and from 2007 I will be part time in PNG and part
time living at my place in Mooloolah on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
I like to Paraglide and have pioneered the sport in PNG flying
several areas regularly around Port Moresby.

That's the abbreviated text but UNTAC was for me the best time
that I had in the Army. I miss the guys that I served with and
was upset to hear that Mark Bingley who served with me in Sisophon
was killed recently in the Blackhawk crash near Fiji.
